She’s that kind of girl
you know the type
a little different, quirky perhaps
you’d notice her in any crowd
though she wouldn’t be what
you would call classically beautiful
she has something
that certain indescribable something
it may be those full pouty lips
the way her emerald eyes dance
with laughter
I don’t know, but she has it
yeah, she’s definitely that kind of girl
the kind you give your heart to
the kind of girl you love forever

why is rain
looked upon
as a miracle

while tears
are looked
upon in regret

we are not
tied emotionally
to the drops
of cloud

but tears
no doubt
leave scars

do we look
upon feeling
as a right,
a passage,
something we are
born within

i don’t think
that’s right

i think
feeling
is the miracle
and rain
is there to
wash it away
when we aren’t
ready for
anyone else
to see

what it looks
like when you  
care
